If you have received the shortened stick, simply pull it downward until it clicks to switch to regular usage mode. Remember to use brand new 3 AAA batteries that have never been used before.

Stick length adjustment: To switch to usage mode, grip the bottom of the stick and pull it carefully until it clicks into place. To switch to portable mode, push the bottom of the stick until it clicks into place.
